Key Features
The Making & Sustainability
3D printing is a step in the future of the eyewear industry, and Stones 3D is a trailblazer in building innovative eyewear using this ingenious technology. A progressive product design is inevitable as the pursuit of technical betterment and simple curiosity drives us to look beyond the traditional confines of the eyewear industry.
The Making
The dedicated and sustainable production begins with a computer forming the design and sending it to the 3D printer. Each design then transforms into a printable model, which is put through a laser machine to solidify the frame layer after layer. The entire process takes approximately 24 hours to complete.
The basic material that ensures durability and robustness is polyamide, fed as a fine powder to the 3D printer. There are about 350 layers in each frame, and each layer is built on another with nuanced technology that ensures there are zero errors and no wastage.
Specially curated colours then penetrate into the original white material and create a uniform and durable layer through the entire frame. The high-quality German dyes used to add the colour are all Skin-friendly, ISO certified, Heat and light resistant.
Moreover, the superior material memory feature of the eyewear ensures that the frames don’t lose their shape or become loose over time with usage. The finished design is ultra-lightweight, with an elastic, comfortable frame weighing no more than 18 grams*. Stones 3D eyewear is usually 3 times lighter than other daily-use frames.
The Sustainability
At Stones 3D, we made it our greatest good to create durable eyewear while leaving minimal environmental impact. It is no secret that manufacturing has a high potential of leaving an irreversible dent in the environment - it can lead to the depletion of natural resources and the creation of harmful waste.
We wished to change this conventional and wasteful making process and, therefore, made it our highest principle to honour the basic elements of Mother Earth. We strictly follow the policy of ‘no leftovers’ as all the raw material is reused, and nothing is considered trash, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.

Handling & Care
When you place your Stones 3D frames on a level surface, place them with the lenses facing upwards. Otherwise, the surface of your lenses may be damaged. When your Stones 3D frames have been soiled, wash them with water and wipe dry with Microfiber optical lens cleaning cloth.
In case your Stones 3D frames are excessively soiled, rinse them with mild liquid soap solutions or wash them off with water. Avoid wiping the dirty frames with a dry cloth, for it may damage the lenses and frame.
